HABPI Fund-raising Annual Event

Ride with Rich

Please join Senator Rich Alloway and Healthy Adams Bicycle/Pedestrian, Inc. (HABPI) as a supporter of the 2nd Annual Ride with Rich. This year we are combining our annual fund-raiser ride and the Ride with Rich into one event. We hope our previous supporters along with new ones will continue to donate to our efforts to build multi-use trails in Adams County. If you do not plan to ride but are willing to make a donation you can do so online (select-Not riding) or bring a check to the ride start location anytime on the morning of the ride. As in the past, free t-shirts will be given out for donations over a set amount.

This year's Ride with Rich takes place on Saturday, September 23, 2017, beginning and ending at the Rec Park in Gettysburg PA. Two different routes are being offered: a 25-mile ride and a 12-mile ride. Both rides travel through the Gettysburg National Military Park and over picturesque Sachs Covered Bridge. The longer ride will also wind its way through the quiet country roads of southern Adams county. Pre-registration is available online. Early registration for this great event is only $35 and includes a ride t-shirt. Ride-day registration is also available and opens at 8 a.m. The self-paced longer ride leaves at 9 a.m. with Senator Alloway as the honorary lead rider. The shorter ride will be guided by members of HABPI and departs at 9:30 a.m. A BBQ lunch is provided after the rides starting at 11 a.m.

By supporting The 2nd Annual Ride with Rich, you will be supporting public recreational opportunities and alternative transportation within the local community and Adams County. Proceeds from this event will be used for the design, development, and maintenance of trails and bike routes in and around Gettysburg, PA. HABPI is currently pursuing development of an off-road bike/pedestrian trail from Gettysburg south to the Maryland border that will fill in one of the missing pieces of the Grand History Trail.
